What is Key club?

Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. In LaGuardia's Key Club, members meet every Wednesday in the 6th floor cafeteria to discuss future events, fundraisers, divisionals, and announcements.

How do I check my hours?

If you click on Hours, which is under Members, you will be able to view how many hours you have by clicking on your graduation year. You will be directed to a spreadsheet that has everyone in your grade that is enlisted in Key Club.

What are divisionals?

Each divisional is led by our Lieutenant Governor, and we discuss what each club is doing, future and past events, and important announcements. You are able to catch up with other clubs in our Division, which is Division 11, while munching on some snacks!

What are dues?

In order to become an official member of Laguardia Key Club, you must pay a $13 fee at the beginning of the year. Being an official member means that you are allowed to put it on applications, such as your college application, that you are in Key Club. If you are an official member, you can vote for the new Board, you can run for a higher position, attend LTC, and receive a membership certificate. These dues go towards making membership cards, pins, certificates, training for future Key Club leaders, and more!

What is a Project Captain and what do they do?

A Project Captain is an event coordinator for a certain event who is chosen by one of the Event Committee Heads. When filling out a signup form for an event, you can choose to be elected as a Project Captain. If you are selected as Project Captain, you are coordinating the one event that you signed up for (unless you get chosen as coordinator for another event as well).

What is LTC?

Leadership Training Conference, or LTC, is an annual gathering of Key Clubbers from all over New York to celebrate a successful service year and the beginning of a new one. We get a chance to meet Key Clubbers who share the same interests from across the state, gain valuable leadership skills and learn about the multitude of opportunities provided by NYDKC and win awards and gain recognition for Laguardia!
